that is crazy talk, I bought one for 1000 running. Needed some battery pan work and that was it. Oh and the parking pawl was shattered so you had to set the e brake when parking. Beyond that a great car. And I got confused. I had a burgandy/ tan tex 300 diesel from that age, a 6 cylinder silver with red tex, and a turqouoise with blue tex 4.5
